Episode 16 : Back in my day…

There’s a lot of childhood and nostalgia in this episode, folks.  The cookies our mothers used to make, the miraculous lunch ladies of William’s youth, and a spirited (though, like all our discussions, ultimately pointless) debate on the state of music.

Oh!  And William remembered that he’s actually seen some movies!

Also, the episode climaxes in a violent attack on Tony.  Don’t miss it!

UPDATE:  Azuretalon has been kind enough to ask his mommy for a cookie recipe similar to the one I talk about in this episode.  So here it is for all you lovely cookie-eaters!

Fudge Crinkles

1 package Betty Crocker SuperMoist double chocolate swirl cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Stir cake mix (dry), oil and eggs in large bowl,
using spoon, until dough forms. Dust hands with powdered sugar, shape
dough into 1 inch balls. Coat balls with powdered sugar, place about 2
inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes or until
set. Cool completely. About 2 /12 dozen cookies.

I am pretty sure that I used a lemon cake mix, too.

Episode 15 : Welcome back!

We’re back!  You may not have noticed that, because we were still here, but we weren’t really, and now we are, so there.

Also, we go into depth about William’s various musical careers, and invent a new taste sensation!

No particular links, but we give you a special tip on a little-known author, so check him out.

We’ve got new players, yes we do!

So, after several comments from listeners, I have changed the audio player that appears on the bottom of each episode post.

Apparently, a lot of people actually listen to the show on the blog itself, and many have mentioned an inability to go back and pick a specific spot to listen to.  So we’ve got this new player, and I’ve personally tested it out.  You just click and hold on the progress bar, and you can move it wherever you want.

As always, if you have any issues or questions, lemme know.

Once again, we prove that we’ve got topic combinations you won’t find ANYWHERE else!  Go on, look, I dare you.  I’ll wait.

What’s more, we’ve got an original song by William in this episode!

Also, food porn.

Episode 13 : The Gods Must be Sock Puppets

This is the first of our earlier recorded episodes.  Don’t worry, it’s still original material… we just recorded it earlier than usual.

Anyway, in this episode Tony and William pave their own way to Norse hell, and we deal with the complex and turbulent relationship that William has with… well… William.

UPDATE:  Mark reminded me of what the links were supposed to be, so here they are.

This site is awesome.  You’ll have to find your way through, there’s no simple way.  But this is the thing that got me started on it.

Also, here is a cool page on a simple way to put up a podcast.  It’s how the Hat got started.

Episode 11 : The Night of a Thousand Awkward Pauses…

It’s a weird night, darlings, and Tony and William are in a weird mood.  Loss, sadness, and the terrible state of modern film all come together in a strange, awkward conversation beamed right into your ears.  Also, a topic from Azuretalon.  So there’s that… right?

R.I.P. Uncle Benny (who is totally not a figment of Tony’s imagination).

Why does the Hat hate Chrome?

It has come to the attention of the Management that the new website and Google Chrome don’t play nice together.  You can usually load the page, but trying to play an episode, click on a link, or make a comment causes the page to hang basically forever.

The Management (lazy as we are) is looking into this.  In the meantime, I’m afraid the answer is just to open it in another browser.  Personally, the Management has set the homepage of Internet Explorer to be this page, and just uses it for editing the blog, while doing everything else internety in Chrome.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and if you send us a self-addressed stamped envelope, will be happy to refund a portion of your subscription fee.

Sincerely,

–The Management

Episode 9 : The Mish-Mash Episode

This week is all over the place!  We’ve got discussion of art, reviews of four, yes FOUR different movies, some old standup comedy schlock, and an actual discussion of sex that lasts for, like, four whole minutes before William blushes hard enough for his head to explode!
