Episode 11 : The Night of a Thousand Awkward Pauses…

It’s a weird night, darlings, and Tony and William are in a weird mood.  Loss, sadness, and the terrible state of modern film all come together in a strange, awkward conversation beamed right into your ears.  Also, a topic from Azuretalon.  So there’s that… right?

R.I.P. Uncle Benny (who is totally not a figment of Tony’s imagination).

One can be a CCL with but a single cat, provided they are: female and sufficiently crazy. Also Tony doing “You might be a CCL if you …” should totally be a regular segment on the show.

Little Big Planet and LBP2 are both really impressively fun, especially with the ability to create your own levels. They keep my five-year-old entertained for hours on end…

Listener Kiya pointed out that, for those with children, or without Netflix, there’s an easier source for your Wonder Pets needs:

    Thanks, Kiya!

I have to agree, you don’t need more then one cat to be a Crazy Cat Lady. It’s not about age or the number of cats.

There’s a lady in LA who has a large property and runs it as a cat sanctuary/rescue. So she pretty much has all cats ever and she is not a crazy cat lady by all accounts.

I think everybody has a little bit of Crazy Cat Lady in them as evidenced by the truth in the graph found here:

On the subject of good D&D movies out before the WoW movie I have to say there has already been a GREAT D&D movie made and is out on DVD (and probably blue ray).

    It was called “13th Warrior”.

On the subject of just having Blizzard do a 2 hour CGI movie…

That was tried by Squaresoft years ago with the first Final Fantasy movie, which was visually stunning but SO GODDAMN BORING story and duologue wise.

Secondly, the Diablo II opening cut scene was submitted for a Best Animated Short Oscar in 2000. It ran against a number of other shorts for a nomination and it lost the nomination slot to “My Grandmother Ironed the King’s Shirts”. (http://www.nfb.ca/film/my_grandmother_ironed_the_king_shirts) With pretty much illustrates the problem with how game companies go about writing and creating “movies”.
