  1. William says:

Oops… I said that “Grapevine” would be a twice a week podcast… I meant twice a month. Although it might be more often than that… who knows? πŸ™‚

  2. jas says:

I really, really like the idea of doing Will’s novels with a cast of people. I especially like it for “Harbingers” ’cause I love all the Tod-Violet dialogue.

  3. Bloodsparrow says:

I had the Snoopy tennis watch!

  4. jas says:

Heist movies–my favorite one is a really old one with Peter O’Toole and Audrey Hepburn called “How to Steal a Million.” “The Lavender Hill Mob” and “The Lady Killers” (the old one) are both really good too.

I liked that one with Demi Moore and Michael Caine. “Inside Job” was really good, and both versions of “The Italian Job.”

  5. jas says:

I recently started wearing a watch again and am reexperiencing the feeling I had as a kid–I know what time it is! Cool!

  6. William says:

    I have to post a correction here…

Actually, the reason Jas and I didn’t record readings of my books before was because *I* got distracted with things… I think it was a combination of family issues and my third book. Sorry for the misrepresentation, Jas! πŸ™

  7. SirGuido says:

If anything happens, and you need someone to fill in I would totally be up for recording one of your novels William.

  8. William says:

Good to know, SirGuido! And very kind of you to offer! πŸ™‚

  9. Mark says:

    Arrrr, Producer!

Most insects are nasty, but I don’t find cicadas to be more troublesome than any other insect in particular.

Iron Man 3, Dark Knight Rises: Iron Man 3 was fine; but didn’t work for me. If I want to see superheros who can’t handle being heroes and dealing with all the weird shit; then I’ll go watch any of the DC movies; where they make a point of regularly doing that kind of nonsense. Dark Knight Rises: I had fun watching the first of Nolan’s Batman films and watched the second (but didn’t really like it) but couldn’t gather up enough interest to go see the third (though I was vaguely interested to see Hathaway’s Catwoman performance).

Screenshots/Grapevine: I kind of enjoyed Screenshots, but the first episode of Grapevine was too political for my tastes (or at least started off that way and I decided to skip the rest of it for now, sorry).

Briar Rose 2: Rose Harder: Yeah!

Value of Attention: Tony’s got a point. William you should probably have tried harder to do recruit for making audio versions of your books.

    Tony’s Health: Tony/Hulk Smash?

Now You See Me: I remember the trailers for it and thought it looked vaguely interesting but everything I heard about it indicated it was awful.

The Family: Bummer, we were kind of looking forward to this.

Sleepy Hallow: Didn’t see it, have no interest.

The Cape: I remember watching the first episode or two of that show and thinking this could be fun and then it disappeared. Recently thought it has appeared on Netflix streaming; so we’ve started trying to watch it again but I think we stalled after the 3rd episode.

RPG: *sigh* That game sounds awesome and I’m not in it.

SWTOR/MMOs: As mentioned elsewhere, I don’t tend to enjoy MMOs either but so far this one’s been pretty good. My co-workers and I play on a PVE server so we don’t have to worry about other players attacking us. Though there is an optional dueling system and ways to flag your character as PVP; if one decides they want to do that. Additionally all the story quests for your character tend to take place in private instances; so people can’t “grief” you by killing the NPCs you need to interact with to advance. SWTOR has a couple of other things going for it. Namely it’s free to play, though they have plenty of reasons built into the game to encourage you to upgrade to being a subscriber. Additionally while they do a lot to encourage grouping; much of the game seems to be solo-able; especially if you let yourself get drawn into a bunch of side quests which help to level you up before you end up taking on the “main boss” in any of your story quests. I’ll note that my main character is currently level 38 and I rarely group with anybody.

Cheap Bastard: Yup, if SWTOR cost money; I definitely wouldn’t be playing though I’ll admit to dropping a few bucks for some in-game goodies.

Pope: Wow, I don’t remember writing that one; so I can’t say what I was thinking of at the time. Though if you’re going with the current Pope; there’s theoretically plenty of time for him to do something even more important in the future than what he’s already done.

It’s all about me …. and me! :p
