This week we’ve got a big ol’ love fest of appreciation for you all over last week’s episode. It was awesome! Then we talk a bit of Lovecraft Country while trying not to spoil things. Then Tony tries to remember everything that happened in the last two weeks and describe it in five minutes. And William travels back in time 1978 to watch a movie. Enjoy!

QUESTIONS:

Do you think you’ll go back to seeing movies at the cinema after the world calms down? –Craig

    1980. Not 1978. πŸ™‚

But, you know… I’d kind of forgotten that each of the original Star Wars movies was three years apart from one another. That seems like a long time between sequels, nowadays.

Really? Huh. In my head, it was 1977, 1978, and 1985. But I guess it’s actually 1977, 1980, and 1983.

1978 was the Holiday Special. πŸ™‚

The local movie theatre where my son was working as a manager just closed a few weeks ago. I am wondering whether there will be some theatres that just don’t come back.

When he was working there, he could have friends over after the theatre closed to watch something or play video games, which was definitely a nice perk.

He actually just showed me a trailer for a good seasonal flick. It’s about an abandoned tire that suddenly becomes animate and finds he (he has a masculine name so I’m going out on a limb) has a telekinetic power to make people’s heads explode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVKgY1ilx0Y.

I forgot to tell y’all my story about podcast listening. I used to have drumming practice on Thursday nights and the podcast would always be up by the time I was leaving. It was great ’cause I was usually pretty tired and it really made me look forward to the drive home, and when there was roadwork and I got stuck in a traffic jam (at 10:30 pm), it didn’t even bother me that much. Driving alone fairly late at night, I really appreciated the company! πŸ™‚
