Episode 474 : Not the Airplane

We’re still recording from our disparate locations! Which means we’re still on YouTube. Check the link here, if you want to watch while you listen, or whatever.

This is a heavy-ish episode. Tony’s in a bad way right now, and it seems silly to ignore that. But we still have time for some film critique and plans for episode 500. Enjoy!

QUESTIONS:

Are you making big plans for the 500th episode and/or 10th anniversary? –Beth

One Response to Episode 474 : Not the Airplane

  1. Mark says:

Tony: No, you don’t look any different as I can’t see you, only hear you.

Self-Serve Gas Station: Never used it, not sure I’ve ever even been to a gas station offering it since I’ve been old enough to drive.

Tony: So sorry to hear about your dad. That sounds much rougher then when my dad passed. On one hand, you got more time to say goodbye but on the other this sounds more drawn out. Whereas with my dad, it was very rapid and the only reason I got to say goodbye was I lived in the same town. Side note: I wish I was a better friend and had been more on top of things to better express my condolences closer to the actual event.

You love us all FOR REALS? Aww, that’s so sweet.

Tony’s view: Much wow, so beautiful.

I feel like I should have something kind+profound+useful to say about grief; but honestly, I got nothing but the standard platitudes.

1917: I’ve not seen it. I’ve heard great things about it, but I’m so not interested in war movies. Maybe in another year or so I’ll give it a shot but… probably not.

Moriarty: Tony was correct, it was Andrew Scott.

I was a little surprised to learn there are multiple films out there that were all created as a single shot — see https://www.imdb.com/list/ls021290396/ –, but not surprised to find that I didn’t recognize any of them.

    500th Episode

I don’t travel by plane enough to have a term for those people; so I’ll probably steal Tony’s term of creepers when I next fly.

A few weeks of recording remotely. Heh, if only. *sigh*
