It’s a late start tonight, folks, as the computer gives us trouble. But we get there, and discuss our important topics, as usual. Plus, we solve religion! Mostly. Enjoy!

Is Bob the one with the very stubby wings?
Or the one with the Fall/Redemption Arc on repeat?

    • William says:

Bob’s name is short for Beelzebob. He’s Beelzebub’s less ambitious twin brother.

In case you’re wondering, nobody calls Beelzebub, “Bub” for short. Not anyone who still exists, anyway.

  2. Beth says:

    I remember:
    You deserve a break today.
Have you had your break today?
Would you like fries with that?
    Mmm mmm mmm…I’m lovin’ it
    Ba-da-ba-ba-ba I’m lovin’ it
    I’m lovin it

I feel like there’s more, but I can’t remember any. Wow… it felt like more, over the four decades…

  3. Craig says:

I haven’t heard much about the TV series but when I read the first few volumes of ‘The Boys’ comics I didn’t think much of it. It was trying to be edgy for the sake of it, the humour was mostly a mix of gross-out and sensationalist with lots of pokes at celebrity culture that generally just came off as sexist/homophobic/racist. Very much doubt I’ll pay any attention to the show

  4. Stuart says:

I unashamedly love the film Snatch, and “British Pulp Fiction” is a good description. So many amazing lines, like Bricktop explaining what nemesis means. Oh and him explaining where “greedy as a pig” comes from.

“Should I call you bullet? Tooth? Bullet tooth Tony?”
“You can call me Susan if it makes you happy.”

“Of course f’ing of course, I wasn’t asking, I was telling.”

Trivia: Vinny Jones is a Welsh footballer, I think he played for Wimbledon but also played for the welsh national side. He had a reputation as a hard man, always getting carded for tackling. I assume that’s how he picked up roles like in Snatch.
