QUESTIONS:
**indicates question was HEAVILY abridged

**Some dummy online though The Avengers would teach them about schwarma. It didn’t, so they did their own research, put a recipe on Pinterest, and I found it. Discuss.    –Beth

The chicken schwarma was good, but I think it was too much work to make again as the recipe was written.

Pinterest is mostly pictures, but some have links to articles/recipes. Kind of like flipping through a magazine. I use it a lot for house decorating ideas, searching “blue bedroom” or “white kitchen cabinets” which allows you to then “pin” the ideas you see that you like to a digital bulletin board where you can see the results you’ve cultivated compiled. For decorating, it might help you to realize that you like all the medium blue walled bedrooms with a tan rug and white furniture; if you knew that’s exactly what you wanted before, then pinterest wouldn’t be very helpful, but I usually only have a vague idea of what I think I might want and by looking through pinterest, it’ll help me to hone in on and articulate my idea.
I also use it for recipes, and have found about 6 on there that we like so well they’ve become part of our regular meal rotation.
Some of the pictures come with articles attached, which seems to be somewhat of a prerequisite for recipes. I’m often stuck scrolling through several pages of article drivel between the ingredients list and the recipe instructions which is really annoying when you’re trying to cook. A couple of the winning recipes were so frustrating to use this way that we’ve printed them off and put them in a cookbook binder. The article for the chicken schwarma recipe included a whole bunch about the Avengers movie.

Huh. So it’s kind of a how-to for becoming Martha Stewart! 🙂

    • Mark says:

Could you post a link to the recipe? We used to have a middle-eastern place near us that made chicken schwarma but that place died and nobody else around here makes it as good, so I’d be interested in possibly trying to make it myself.

  2. Mark says:

Pants on backwards? No, I can’t say that I recall hearing about that. The only explanation I can think of it you were exhausted and then really busy at work. So you had to concentrate hard enough that you didn’t notice.

It was only thirty minutes! Heh. 😀

Game of Thrones: Meh. I’ve read some of the books and wasn’t a big fan. I’ve started watching season one which I’ve liked better than the books, but it just doesn’t draw me in.

Incredibles 2: It was fine. I think it would have been better if they advanced the timeline to keep up with the 14 year gap between films rather than just continuing right where the last one left off.

One-Shot RPG: I hope it went well!

Pinterest: It’s del.icio.us for images. What you use it for is up to you. Personally, I use it to find & track Art for RPG Characters. And Pinterest is different from Tumblr, in that Tumblr is a blogging platform (useful in posting text, audio, video, & images); while Pinterest is only primarily usefully in finding & organizing images.

The Last Jedi “reboot”: No, just no.
