Another way of thinking of Murphy’s Law is that it’s another way of stating the second law of thermodynamics. Of course that’s a very moral perspective on entropy–but human beings do have a tendency to look at nature with that kind of perspective.

Tony, while I agree with you that most Chicagoans would say “I’m taking the L” rather than “I’m taking the train” when the vehicle is late, I think most would describe it as the train being late. However, I do believe that the L mostly doesn’t have a schedule, the trains simply run more often at peak times, so I don’t think a train with out a schedule can technically be “late” can it? Also, Chicago has commuter trains from he suburbs, although the service is called “Metra” I think most people refer to riding it as “taking the train.” Interesting karma discussion.

Agents of Shield: The main thing that got better after the movie was they could stop dancing around the plot from the movie and reveal some of the stuff they had to know about but couldn’t mention.
Flash: The one trailer I’ve seen for this didn’t look horrible, but I’ve not seen any sign of the show since that trailer. I’m starting to wonder if it’s still going to happen or not. Though I’m not sure I care, as I’ve never been a big fan of the character and hated Arrow.
Late trains: It’s a conspiracy and they’re watching you.
Karma: Honestly, no. Though I wonder if the universe would be a better place if it did exist.
