I’ve been bit by a mandolin myself, when I was going through chemotherapy actually and mine also bled what felt like forever. I didn’t damage myself as bad though, I was same to fix it with super glue and paper towels.
Ooh! Yeah, a version of superglue was one of the options they were considering at the ER, to cover it up. But the mesh stuff worked really well. It’s healing nicely, and the dressing she uses now don’t create a ‘megathumb’ anymore.
