I’m reading something for class that is talking about postmodernism and strangely enough it seemed in some way to describe some of what William was talking about:
One definition of postmodernism is incredulity of “Grand narratives of progress and human perfectibility…the best we can hope for are provisional, contingent, temporary, and relative and which provide a basis for the actions of specific groups in particular local circumstances.”
I’ve always thought of myself as kind of a postmodernist, so I’m pleased with that connection.
I think I can get behind a definition like that. Maybe I’m a postmodernist!

I know people who have good Kermit voices, but I am not one of them.
I’ve thought from time to time that maybe I should try a sleep study, but Tony’s description of it was pretty much how I expected they go. Which is to say unless forced to, I’m never getting one.
Thor: Love & Thunder. Yeah, I had remembered it as a big ol’ bag of meh; but on hearing Tony’s recap, I can’t disagree. It was bad. Though I don’t recall the 3 minutes he referenced as making it almost worthwhile; so maybe that would help bump it back up to meh?
Gym: Our gym closed for COVID. They’ve since reopened, but we lost the habit of going and haven’t summoned the will to restart doing so. I know we should but frankly, I’m lazy. 😉
The joke was vaguely funny, but it doesn’t hold up. I mean just because you have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree; doesn’t mean you get called a Bachelor or Associate.
