Episode 588 : We’re Huge in Cameroon

YouTube link. Something’s different…

Well, it’s been a good ride. We tried our best, to talk about Star Wars and superheroes and stuff. But eventually, we had no choice to to read the last email in the account. Now we just have to try and pivot to Central Africa. Enjoy!

I can’t verify if it was me over Cameroon on the return flight from a work trip to Kenya, but an episode of TMTH accidentally started playing on my phone and it annoyed at least one passenger. I had been listening to the episode while in my cabin while on safari but apparently Tony had more that needed saying while in the air.

    Mystery solved. 🙂

Went to my great aunt and great uncle’s memorial service this weekend and was discussing with my parents what they’d like their funerals to be like and what to do with their remains. My dad is a big environmental guy and reported that while you can put remains under a tree when it’s planted, the cremains don’t really get absorbed into the tree. We also talked about turning their remains into a diamond; I don’t think we’re going to do that, but was something we thought of that you didn’t mention.

My parents were much of the same mind as you were – I won’t be here so it doesn’t really matter to me.

      Oh, yeah! Diamonds!

I’ll be honest, that one sounds both amazing and really creepy, to me. 🙂

I remember when I was taking ceramics in college and one of the Graduate TAs mentioned how they have incorporated ashes into some pottery art for clients. I’ve heard of remains in bowling balls and other objects too.
