I’ve never thought of William as someone who pisses people off. Heck, I am the one that pisses people off. A lot!

    Cuidado Lime!

William’s version of this was probably “Hero Machine.” I played with that all the time back in the day.

And William, If you want some pointers/examples on HeroForge you have my email

Hero Machine! Yes, that’s what it was. πŸ™‚

Abby played with HeroForge last night (on her phone, but cast to the TV so I could watch/help) and it was very fun. It made her wish she could find a place that would allow her to make larger figures. Like, say, something 10 – 12 inches tall (actual inches, not scaled inches). I reckon there must be 3D printing outfits that accommodate that, but I’d have to find them.

      • Azuretalon says:

There are a lot of 3D printers on Etsy and such, you probably couldn’t do color and would have to paint it but my buddy has a 3D printer that can do something as large as a dice tower so they have to be out there.

    • William says:

You really captured the essence of Cuidado Lime! πŸ˜€

Doctore Stringe keeps shifting to Doctore Syringe in my head. Unfortunately Hero’s Forge does not have a syringe option.

Speaking of superheroes, I saw The Batman. I thought it was really good, but would have been even better as a mini-series. It was very episodic, and I would have liked to have more time to explore things that came up in each episode.

One thing that was noticeable to me was that there was a strong focus on Batman as a person who is flawed and learning from mistakes through the film. This was especially noticeable to me in the way that he reads and misreads the villain, and how the misreading forces him to reevaluate something about himself.

I like both Ghost and The Green Knight! πŸ˜›

I also like the original story (Sir Gawain & The…). The movie seemed to be about the same questions but with a more pagan than Christian slant, and more emphasis on horror elements. I think the central question in both is how do we deal with the knowledge of death. In the original, the answer seems to be that a person who is in many ways the best of humanity–the most courteous, courageous, chaste–will still falter when confronted by the knowledge of death. Faith in something greater than self is the most frail virtue and because of that all human beings needs forgiveness.

In the movie, faith in something greater than the self doesn’t have the meaning of a next life but rather something that transcends narrow and individualistic concerns to be about relationship with others. Or that’s what I thought anyway.

Everything about that post is awesome. πŸ™‚

      Well, bad news, Jas.

Clearly one of us is a broken failure of a human being.

The good news is, I think you’re safe.

But despite the fascinating words you typed, I still hated both of those movies. πŸ™‚
