YouTube link here. Lots of Ezzie in this episode!
This week… we didn’t get to any questions. Because I can’t not talk about Barbara Streisand, apparently. Also, we get a lot of medical and family update from William. And we have to crap on Shang Chi a little bit. Look, there’s a lot going on, we didn’t manage an email. Enjoy!

Hey, checking in quickly after listening to the beginning of the episode.
I have missed several episodes and am now catching up. Short version — stressful stuff going on at work as I told Will last week, and actually since I wrote him, things have hit the fan at work (unrelated, mostly, to what I wrote him about). And the number of meetings I’m having to try to deal with said fanage is pretty much daily (on top of the usual stuff I have to deal with).
Suffice to say, that these things that have hit the fan may eventually also hit the news.
Yay! You’re alive.
Sheesh… having a job sounds really crappy. My friends tell similar stories. š
Oh, Azuretalon, I forgot to mention! I found Willow Creek on Tubi, and it is in my queue, but I haven’t watched it yet.
I really donāt think youāll be disappointed. It was on Amazon at one time
If I am, I’m going to hunt you down. Like Bigfoot.
I’m not sure which of us is Bigfoot in this scenario. But hunting will happen!
Of you. By me.
*raises hand*
I’m Bigfoot in the scenario… right?
I thought I was Bigfoot in every scenario…
I saw a bunch of those 70s era movies last time I was in Florida (What’s Up Doc, The Owl and the Pussycat, Bye Bye Braverman…). My brother and I talked about how prevalent these movies were in our childhood and we were realizing that we both had a warped view of adulthood based on movies. We thought that being an adult, if we were thinking along realistic lines, had something to do with Jewishness and living in New York, but if we were thinking along fantasy lines, it had something to do with being British and being a spy (because Bond movies, and films like The Ipcress File were the other main genre of films of our childhood).
That bit about New York Jewish or British spy resonates with me. I think I had similar vibes.
The one I most remember is that the height of sophistication was living somewhere that had Chinese delivery. That was an absolute life goal, as a child.
I achieved it in 2000 or 2001, I think.
Iām still listening and am caught up! Iāve mostly been listening at kiddo bedtime on Alexa (sheāll announce the name of the episode when she tunes in, so keep that in mind as you name them), but that means Iām not usually on the blog to comment.
Glad William is doing well. Is your surgeon Nicole G by chance? I recently learned that my college pseudo boyfriendās wife is a heart surgeon at the U. Just wondering if this world and that one happen to be colliding in the form of William.
Jas, sorry things are hitting the fan. Hoping youāre doing ok:-/
Yay! Beth is still there!
I love when I guilt you all into talking, so I know you’re still there. š
My surgeon is not Nicole G. Sorry!
But my surgeon IS awesome!
William, my Aunt (Susan) is a step grandma and the grandkids call her Zha Zha which I think is German(?) for Susan and is similar to āgrandmotherā in another language. You can just be Bill if you want, but it could be fun to come up with a special grandpa-ish name for yourself. I think itās nice for little kids to not just call adults by their first name. Our kids call their teachers Miss Jess or whatever. But each family is different.
Our decorated pumpkins are still out on our stoop too. Probably about time to undecotateā¦
I hear what you’re saying, for sure.
I’ll be happy with whatever the family decides.
I know I’m very behind but little disappointed I got left off of the ‘is he still listening’ list š
