Episode 546 : The Smell of Freedom

YouTube link here. Tony fixed his video problem.

This week, Tony is big mad at Febreeze. But we’ve only got two card-questions left, so we have to hurry to those! But then it turns out William watched Ted Lasso, so nope! Also… scary… sexy… Enjoy!

QUESTIONS:

None. Sorry. Next time.

    Definitely not surprised.

Also… optional sound of car = vroom vroom = sound of freedom so optimal she’l smell of car = febreeze = smell of freedom? Best explanation I have

I also find that ad very annoying.

But unlike Tony, I have never liked Febreeze. It has always had a strong scent to me, and not a pleasant one. Whatever it is also gives me a headache.

After a little thought I decided that what probably would smell like freedom to me would have been the smell of my Dad’s car. I associated it with summer vacation and going on long trips.

I guess I’ll wait until Foundation is out and do the Apple trial.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from all this, it’s that people smell freedom a lot more than I do!

But also, that no one smells freedom as Febreeze air freshener. 🙂

I also find Febreeze overly strong most of the time. They also had a car clip air freshener that was supposed to last a month, I found it cloying for the first 3 months and still plenty smelly after that. I think it still had liquid in it after a few years, so I’m not sure what was supposed to last only a month. Freedom was getting away from that air freshener.
I don’t know how their propellant works, but there are spray bottles that are purely mechanical; think Windex. Possibly the user pumps enough to create the pressure/propellant?
This discussion reminded me of my brother’s childhood thoughts on Lysol spray “it covers the bad smell up with a worse-r smell”
I think the smell of freedom is almost an absence of any smell. It’s being outdoors without a timetable. Maybe there’s a faint smell of fallen leaves or pine needles, but nothing so odorous that you even acknowledge it as an odor. Where’s my candle or room spray that takes away bad smells and leaves me with no smell at all?
