This week, we discuss The Dispossessed, because William finally read it! So, a lot of political and economic philosophy. Enjoy that. But then we get to the important thing… llamas! Enjoy!
Oh, and yes, we’re still on YouTube.

How much lazier can a lazy podcasterget if a lazy podcaster could get lazier?
The Dispossessed: I’ve read other stuff of hers, but not this one.
William Sci-Fi recommendations: If you ask most sci-fi fans for hard sci-fi; you’re generally going to get recommendations for authors who focus on getting things like physics correct rather than the social sciences.
ST:TNG: We’ve been re-watching it here & there and it occurred to me that the walls of the Enterprise sets are basically just cubical walls. Now every time I watch an episode of it part of my brain is constantly trying to blend ST:TNG with The Office.
Socially Distant Dinner Party: We’re going to do a dinner party via video chat this Friday. We’re all going make the same recipes and then eat while connected via video chat. We’ve heard that it can be a lot of fun, but this Friday will be our first shot at it.
Renting a Llama for Zoom meetings: I’ve heard of it, but haven’t experienced it.
The Master of My Universe: Me? Maybe I’m just not understanding Tony’s point. I do identify as being part of various groups, but I view those group memberships as smaller facets of myself rather than an overarching definition of Me. Also, like William, I was raised Christian and there are definitely principals that I’ve taken from that to use to help me live my life. But I’m not sure I could accurately list out all of those principals; partly because that sort of discussion generally doesn’t interest me and partly because there could be so many one-offs and special cases. Because I’m lazy and like pithy quotes, I think the best way to summarize my principals is to borrow a quote from Wil Wheaton, “Don’t be a dick.”
