The supernatural seems to have been used a lot in 60s TV to say something about women’s roles (Addam’s Family, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie).

Life vests – the ones in the demonstration on the plane are samples and don’t actually inflate. That info is printed on the demo vest so you (hopefully) don’t try to use it in an emergency.
