Episode 393 : Paper Link

It’s a bit of catch up this week, and a LOT of media to cover. So those of you looking for deep philosophy, you won’t get that. Mostly TV and toys and stuff. Some hookers. Enjoy!

QUESTIONS

*William. In ep 361 you said you were looking at Transformers toys online. Was that because of me? Here’s my collection. [LINK] –Azuretalon

  1. William says:

    Um… actually… I’m not in episode 361…

  2. Azuretalon says:

Also, the majority of my collection is Beast Wars. That was my jam. And I do have a Castle Greyskull also.

Also, I could explain the entire Jetstorm/Jetfire controversy but why type it when I can direct you to an episode of “Transformers: The Baiscs” that covers this exact subject.

The guy who does these is fantastic, and I recommend all the videos if you are even the least bit interested. He’s just announced he’s heading up an official book project on Transformers History from Hasbro.

Also if you are in the market to watch toy YouTubers, there are a couple REALLY stand out ones I can suggest in addition to Chris above

Have y’all seen the news about guys photoshopping Capt. Marvel and Brie Larson’s response?

Also, I am kicking myself for not calling this episode “Some Hookers.”

  6. Mark says:

Dish rack with some hookers: Wow, that’s a rather interesting new product for Amazon to be selling.

That was the best description I’ve ever heard of Supernatural.

    Briar Rose: Yeah!

A Quiet Place: I’ve heard excellent things about it, but it sounds like William would be excellent at Cinema Sins.

Altered Carbon: I was not a fan of the books. I watched the first episode but I’m it didn’t really do much of anything for me. I still have it in my queue, but have yet to muster up any desire to continue it.

Halloween (original movie): Nope. Just nope.

Paper Links: Maybe the magic of the transmogrified links to paper will only work if you both touch the link inside the TMTH at the same time?

80’s toys: Transformers, yup. G.I. Joe, yup. He-Man, yup.

Captain Marvel: Yup, it looks interesting.

Mary Poppins Returns: I think it looks fun, while as a child I never cared for the original.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Agreed, it wasn’t needed and it was only ok.

Aquaman: We went and watched it. It was fun, but not particularly good. One could argue it’s on par with some of the early Marvel films.

Ant-man: While the “science” of these films make no sense, I do enjoy the comedic performances of the actors. So I will keep watching these.

Spider-man: I’m guessing you were talking about Spider-man: Homecoming; which I did eventually break down and watch. It was much more enjoyable than it had any right to be.

Superhero TV Shows: Whaaaaaa? Do you mean to tell me that you didn’t like love The Greatest American Hero? With such wonderful lines as “You’re about as religious as a Las Vegas nightclub owner.” how could you not like love it?!?!?!?

DC Streaming: Just like how I don’t plan on subscribing to Disney’s streaming service, I don’t plan on getting the DC one either.
