Episode 387 : The Next Evolution in Hat

This week we catch up, since it’s been two weeks for us. Someone got a new toy, someone saw a movie, someone is really mad about evolution and social media and other things. It’s Tony. Tony’s always the mad one. Enjoy!

QUESTIONS:

None! We didn’t get to any questions!!!

    Speaking of facebook…

I’ve been thinking of starting a page to connect various friends who like to read/write Speculative Fiction/Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Facebook seemed like the best platform but am open to other suggestions. Also if I get one started, everyone here is, of course, more than welcome to join!

I do not do heck and I’m not sure I’m comfortable taking credit for normalizing the audio, especially as it caused you to kill that episode.

Economical Servants: My first, gut reaction is to question how economical you could be. My follow up reaction is TMTH doesn’t pay you anything, so I guess that statement stands.

William’s Cellphone: Aww, I’ve been hoping he’d talk about the phone more as I’ve been considering switching to Fi.

Texting: Probably due to me being old & cheap, but I’ve never gotten into texting.

Phones & Movies: I can’t remember the last time I completely powered off my phone for a movie, but I do generally make sure it’s on silent (with all volumes turned down/off) and possibly in airplane mode.

Smartphone Apps: Well the obvious reason to care about apps is to use an app for listening to Podcasts. Personally as I’m primarily an Android phone user, I like BeyondPod, though I’ve heard good things about Pocket Casts as well.

Given that I tend to avoid Facebook, I hadn’t heard about Zollo. That’s awful.

Quitting social media: Whether it’s worth it for TMTH depends on if you want to try to grow the listenership. If you don’t have accounts for the show, then it’s harder for people to find you and many of them will find it harder to engage with your show.

    EFF FTW!

Battle Beyond the Stars: I know of it, but I’m not sure now if I’ve actually ever watched it. I’ve checked and it’s available for free streaming via Amazon Prime, so I may give it a shot.

Becoming Human: It looked really good in the trailers, but as it’s PS4 only I guess I’ll never know.

No questions? You evil bastards! :p
