Episode 238 : Intelligent Pervert

This week, we continue to tell you, in excruciating detail, while most movies and TV shows are terrible. Then we cast the best new show not on TV yet, and discuss modern homophobia in men. Enjoy!

If the sitcom Three’s Company was rebooted this year, who would you cast for the three main characters, plus the landlord character? –Anonymous

  1. William says:

The “guy who used to play Horshack” was an actor named Ron Palillo, who, I was sad to find out, passed away in 2012.

  2. Mark says:

Embittered Servants: Yup, that’s one of the better intros you’ve had for a while.

#1 in Wind Energy: Is that because of all the politicians coming in and releasing all their hot air?

Heroes Reborn: It looked terrible and I skipped it by default.

Minority Report: Been watching this via Hulu and it’s not good but there’s something vaguely engaging about it. I mostly watch it while walking around the house (to increase my step count/increase my activity level) and rant at it. Also, it is based on a short story of the same name by Philip K. Dick. Also, holy crap! I didn’t recognize “Fez” at all.

Quantico: Did either of you give this one a shot? I’ve been watching it mostly for the same reasons as I’ve been watching Minority Report.

Limitless: Another bad TV show I’m currently watching. It’s got some vaguely clever bits in it and some mildly funny bits. Though the last episode I watched was a “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” tribute which I enjoyed quite a bit.

Not eating on the show? Why am I even still listening then!

Mad Max Fury Road: Hey now, I’m sure I already left a comment on this blog about not liking this film; so no first post for William! Also liking the original films (which I did) doesn’t do a thing towards helping one like this film. The effects were fine, mostly impressive for being practical rather than CG.

Trollhunter: Not my sort of film, but was interesting to watch.

Under the Skin: I only vaguely recall this movie and only recall being vaguely interested in it.

Perhaps a better title for this episode would be: “Immodest, Intelligent, Feminist Pervert”.

    GORDON’S ALIVE?!?!

Three’s Company: I wouldn’t cast anybody in it; as I wouldn’t want it rebooted. I vaguely recall watching it as a kid and even think I enjoyed it back then. I just can’t see it working today, not even a little.
