Episode 583 : Actor’s Little Helper

YouTube link here. Gasp at William’s dynamic lighting!

This week, we talk about politics and… just kidding! It’s mostly about William’s trip to Phoenix, and also Tony’s current obsessions, and then we count countries. Enjoy!

I am behind in my listening – I have many questions about your hotel in Phoenix, but I will submit them to the hat.

Countries I want to go to – a whole bunch, I’d like to see the Great Wall of China, and the Taj Mahal in India, Bermuda, visit every continent, and I’d like to explore just about everywhere in Europe. I think my next international trip is to London to attend the Royal School of Needlework with a few friends, and would love to see the town of Windsor/Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and a few huge estate houses (maybe the one from Pride and Prejudice and the one from Downton Abbey or others that are less famous) and finally make it to Wales.
I have visited Ireland 5x, studied abroad in Scotland, visited France, Italy, Monaco, Vatican City, England, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, Lithuania, Canada, Mexico, Northern Ireland, maybe some others but these are the most memorable.

Keep your expectations nice and low for Stonehenge.

If you go to Pembrokeshire in Wales, I have recommendations! 🙂

In London, I’d recommend both Tate museums and the Victoria and Albert. I also really like the London Spy Museum, especially the James Bond exhibit. Kem is also lovely.

Last time I was there I went to Ely Cathedral which was spectacular. Ely is close to Cambridge though so might not be convenient for you.

I think this is the full list of countries I’ve visited, it’s obviously a lot easier when you live in Europe to start with:
USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, The Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Jordan, France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Croatia, Czechia, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Hungary, Malta, Tenerife, Lanzarote (technically Spain), UK of course

A lot of the European countries I visited while interailing one summer during uni so only actually spent a couple of days in them. It also helps that unlike the US we get a proper amount of time off for holidays!

Even excluding countries in Europe, you kinda blow my list out of the water!

Is Tenerife its own country? I thought it belonged to France or something. If only I were typing this on a device capable of looking such things up….

      • Craig says:

Yeah, I’ve been fortunate to be able to travel as much as I have. Tenerife is part of Spain like Lanzarote, I just forgot to include it in the brackets and both are popular for cheap holidays from the UK.

The Gambia, Senegal and Mauritania were all trips for work while Hong Kong was a stop off on the way to Australia so we only had a couple of days but I wasn’t a big fan.
