This week’s episode is about memories, legacies, and what happens beyond ourselves. Also, a bunch of movies and stuff, but really, this episode is more on theme than more of them, I swear. We got very caught up in our discussion, so not only did we run long, we didn’t get to any questions. I apologize. Your input is still very important to this show, and greatly appreciated. We’ll get you in next week, honest. Enjoy!

I wanted this episode to be titled: “Episode 390: In Which Everything is Solved.”
And the show’s Latin motto (a translation of what you both were saying at the beginning): “Semper male fieri.”
Cultural=Universal. This is one of the main ways that a cultural belief becomes self-sustaining. That is, it’s a key component of ideology. So many of my students can’t stop themselves from beginning a paper with “Ever since the beginning of time….” usually followed by something about gender or race. They’ll keep doing it even when I’ve pointed it out as a frequent error that they should guard against.
And I also think what Tony said about people being afraid of being different rings true. It especially ties into fears of isolation in today’s society.
Oh yeah, audio much better this ep.!
Audio levels were much improved. Or at least I think they were, I started listening to this episode via a speaker rather than headphones.
Lost Boys: Wow, that takes me back.
Doesn’t everybody already have their lists of who’s not invited to their funerals?
Krull: Probably haven’t seen it since high school but don’t remember hating it.
Plays into Movies: *shrug* No opinion.
Briar Rose Project: Woo! Glad to hear it’s still getting worked on.
Lives & Legacies: Nope, it’s not that unusual or this is one of times that I’m much more in tune with William than with Tony.
