My Christmas movie list:
Gremlins
Home Alone
Krampus for the last couple years
And Violent Night was newly added this year
That kind of all are horrible violence as comedy and I laugh every time.
I have seen only one of those movies. And heard of only 3 of those movies.
Which one? I find it baffling sometimes hasn’t seen Gremlins or Home Alone
I’ve seen Gremlins. Never saw Home Alone. Been meaning to watch Krampus, but haven’t yet. And never heard of Violent Night. 🙂
I have to say that I found “A Series of Unfortunate Events” to be hilarious. When I was reading it to my son when he was little, I used to laugh at some of the way it was told so much that I couldn’t continue. And I think that how it is told is key–it is very detached from reality. Very much a kind of absurdist, post-modern narration.
It appeals to the Wednesday Addams in me.
Saw a movie that happened to be a kind of Christmas movie–“The Holdovers.” One of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Amazing that the lead student character is being played by someone who I think they just happened to discover when they were scouting the location at Deerfield Academy. And of course a lot of the locations were familiar to me so that was kind of cool.
I’ve been very curious about The Holdovers. This is encouraging for me to check it out.
