Episode 317 : The One Where She Sings

We’ve got our fair share of pop media, as usual, but also a terrifying trip into the mind of Tony. Also hypnotism! And she sings! Enjoy!

When I started watching Legion, I wondered why I had this association with Bill Irwin that made me think of Cary’s character as goofy and loveable. Then I remembered where I had seen him before. He’s Mr. Noodle on Sesame Street! Pretty much one of my favorite Sesame Street segments, even if it’s part of Elmo’s world. 🙂

Jas, I have to disagree with you there. I don’t care for Mr. Noodle, nor the entirety of the Elmo’s World segment. Indeed, I wrote a paper in both high school arguing how Elmo’s World is ruining Sesame Street and is emblematic of the problems effecting today’s youth. My main complaints are how repetitive it is and that it takes away from the rest of the show where you need to keep track of characters across the story arc of the episode. In short: Elmo’s World was contributing to kid’s shorter attention spans.

No, you know what, that makes a lot of sense! That’s why we said it probably doesn’t cause cancer!

Tony – I thought you were pulling “Authentic Irish Setter” from a Wheel of Fortune puzzle.

I have several issues with President Trump. In general, I think it a low blow to go after someone’s appearance. However, I also despise the double standard that he has publicly judged/mocked/ridiculed/fired/groped based on their appearance, yet comedians/commentators/the general public should “be the bigger person” (pun unintended) and not comment on his appearance?
