Pretty usual stuff tonight. A lot of TV, movies, and video games. Like usual. Also a lot about superheroes, but this time, it’s not our fault. And then the Producer overshares in the sexiest of ways. Enjoy!

You get to choose the qualities of a superhero. What are they? –Jas

Awe, you guys! That made my day. I am only 1/2 way through, but looking forward to the rest at lunch. Hope you both are doing well.
My son really likes horror as a genre and never seems to have much trouble with the scare factor (unlike me). However, after going to see “Get Out” he called me at about 11pm ’cause it had freaked him out, and he didn’t like sitting in his apartment by himself without anyone to freak out at.
I remember seeing Billy Jack and thinking it was a terrible movie, and something about it made me mad. So long ago I can’t remember now, and surprising given all the hippy-sounding ideals.
What I was aiming for in the question is having you describe a super hero that you would create if you were writing a super hero story. I like the idea of The Fluffy Knight 🙂
Omg! The producer rocks. Can’t stop giggling. I am picturing her with a cape as a super hero to go with the new pants.
I would probably create someone like The Punisher. Not because “He’s cool because he kills people,” or even that I think he’s a heroic ideal; I just think he is a fascinating character with interesting motivations and values. He’s totally emotionally broken and venting pure rage, arguably even more so than Hulk, and doesn’t let morals, ethics, or logistics get in the way of his punishing.
Okay, there is something fun and cathartic about everything being black and white and he just destroys the bad guys in gruesome ways. Like a reverse horror movie.
