Happy New Year! We’re three weeks out since our last recording, so there’s a lot to catch up on. Movies mostly. Some videogames. Then we learn what poor planners we both are. Enjoy!

This woman is more critical of the film overall than I am, but I do agree with pretty-much all of her points:
I sure like Rogue One more than you guys did. In fact, at the end I was wondering about whether I thought it was one of the best Star Wars movies. I thought of it as Star Wars crossed with the Seven Samurai. My son was saying that all Star Wars movies are war movies to a certain extent, but this was the first one that actually captured the feeling of a war movie. I agreed with that and thought that it captured the moral ambiguity of war and acts of resistance better than others in the sequence.
Actually, I appreciated all of those things about the film, also.
Overall, I had a very middle-of-the-road reaction to it.
