Episode 213 : Hear the Cheese Packet Inside

A lot of coughing this episode, I’m afraid. We’re both getting over illness. It’s worse at the beginning, it gets better, promise. Beth is the star question giver tonight, so she gets a lot of answers to burning questions. Also, we talk about Hooters. Enjoy!

*Chris MacGregor (of MacGregor’s furniture) is retiring after 118 years. How does this make you feel? –Beth

Wondering if Tony knows the online comic, “Scandinavia and the World.”

  2. Azuretalon says:

I have been to the Davenport Hooters a few times and I have to say the food sucks.

  3. Beth says:

Thanks for referring mid-episode to this as “The Beth Episode” made me laugh.
If the Hooters food sucks, then it matches the Applebee’s fare – apt description Tony!

  4. Mark says:

    Bless you, you sneezing fool.

Beta-carotene? Uh oh, I gave that up for Lent.

Tony’s coughing: Were you really sick or did you just breathe in some Altoid dust? I did that earlier today and that f’ing burns.

Tom Petty: Really William? You’re not familiar with his song “Last Dance with Mary Jane”?

Really? You’d rather watch Elementary than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Huh, I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before but I gave up on Elementary sometime during it’s first few episodes as being effectively unwatchable. Whereas Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is frequently less than stellar, it’s always been fun.

Dan Harmon/Community: I recently completed watching seasons 1-5 of Community on Hulu. I’d never seen the show before and had partly avoided it due to all the hype. Having seen it now, I have to say the hype was deserved and it was a great show. I’m tempted to watch the season 6, but that’s only on Yahoo’s new video site which doesn’t work with my Chromecast and I’m not interested enough to want to watch it just on my computer vs. my TV.

Hmmm, bacon. I miss having bacon on any kind of semi-regular basis. I stopped getting it for breakfast at home when my wife developed a food allergy to pork.

Don’t take your keys? Am I the only person who tries to never leave their house unless I have my keys, phone & wallet on me?

Williams/Hooters: Wha? How is it the first mention of Hooters on this podcast came from William? Surely that should have been Tony….

Tilted Kilt: There was one in CR, but I’m pretty sure it folded quickly. If there’s still one around, then I don’t know where it is.

Breastaurant? Seriously, that’s even tackier than the actual restaurant chains are, which is really saying something.
