Episode 191 : In Space!

A lot of catching up to do this week. It’s been two weeks, and Tony and William both did a lot of stuff. Well, watched and played a lot of stuff. Not so much with the doing. Anyway. Then we talk about relationships. Enjoy!

I think the idea that Snowpiercer might be a better book might be a good one. It’s a graphic novel though so I don’t know if that means it fits into what you think would make it a better book or not (that is, if the book aspect of it would be something that would fit more into the idea of a traditional book). It’s just been released in English this year so I haven’t read it yet.

I’ve have gone from thinking that Gotham was just not very good to thinking that it has a class and gender ideology which kind of sucks.

Constantine–I was really looking forward to and then the pilot just struck me as “meh, Monster-of-the-Week show.”

I was thinking that dealbreaker would be something like someone who was consistently controlling/bullying in some way, and I still think that would hold in a romantic context, but then I was thinking I have a friend who has a lot of problems, and who tries to be controlling, but it’s mostly through guilt-trippy stuff and I find I’ve learned to not be too influenced by it (I think :))–anyway, it seems like a hard question to answer ’cause of the exceptions.

Yes, for what I meant when I said that Snowpiercer would make a better book, a graphic novel would count.

Re: Gotham… I’ve rarely heard a criticism that I could argue against. The show’s got a ton of problems.

Re: your thoughts on the deal-breaker question… agreed.
