Episode 157 : Welcome to Lonnie’s

We get deep and spiritual this episode. Also, talk about television. Of course. Tony catches us up on Skyrim and his group RPG, and… that’s mostly it. Enjoy!

I know that I’m catching up now. But I disagree about your assertion regarding if the podcast didn’t exist.

Apparently Bates Motel is in it’s third season?

I didn’t know it was a thing until about a month ago when they made a replica if the front of the Motel at SXSW with a vending machine that have out free brownies.

Pro-wrestling move/keeping children away from fire: Obviously these were related, especially after Randy Macho Man Savate last attempted to top the previous performances of The Magical Talking Hat move by adding fire to the finale of the move. The results were …. too horrific to bear repeating.

3 years: A most impressive achievement, and like Bloodsparrow I disagree with your assertion regarding if the podcast didn’t exist.

Bates Motel: *shrug* Never seen this one.

Community: I’ve heard this is good and I’ve meant to try watching it some time. At this point, I’ll probably wait until it’s available on Netflix.

30 Rock: Hmm, the individual episodes were good, but taken as whole (especially when binge watching) it doesn’t work as well.

Mad Men: At one point, I might have said you were missing out by not watching this show; but these days I’d agree it’s basically shitty people doing shitty things.

Breaking Bad: On this one though, I think you’re wrong; or if not wrong, then the story is good enough that it doesn’t matter that it’s shitty people doing shitty things.

Skyrim: Yeah, it’s waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy to be the Archmage of the College. Vampires, meh. I hate the look Skyrim gives to Vampire Lords. Werewolves are slightly better but you don’t get access to any of your magic (or the flippin’ map!) in wolf form; so that sucks.

    Gaming: Whee!

GMing: Yeah, these sort of concerns are part of the reason I’ve never really run a game. I tried a couple of times but both times the games died fast.

Spring: WOOO, TONY THE BRINGER OF SPRING!
