Episode 153 : Cauda Equina Syndrome

So last week, we had to rely on an alternate dimensional podcast. This was because Tony was busy. With spinal surgery. So… mostly we talk about that this week. Also, chicken wings. Enjoy!

  1. Craig says:

Glad to hear that the surgery all went well Tony, was a bit of a shock to see the show notes and find out you’d gone in for it. Hopefully there won’t be any delays in you getting back to full health, have heard from others how just sitting about recovering can get feel like it’s taking forever.

Wings- I recall being fond of the wings at Claim Jumper, we would always get mild wings with a side of spicy sauce so those of us who cant eat spicy can eat wings and those that do can dip.

I enjoy the lemon pepper wings at some Austin places called Pluckers and Baby Acapulco’s. They all provide a thing of blue cheese dressing, because I agree with Tony that one should never refuse a cup of blue cheese dressing.

  3. Mark says:

Nudity: You said no, but auWilliam said yes. This confused the Producers and they said to heck with it and left the nudity in.

Reading the Book & Watching the Movie: Tony’s got that right. Reading the book before the movie only sets you up for disappointment.

Ender’s Game: I wasn’t as disappointed with that movie as I suspected I would be, but yeah it’s not a great movie.

MRI: I’m glad I’ve never had to get one. I don’t like small spaces. And if it’s small spaces with loud noises and an instruction to keep still, eh… I doubt I’d do well at that.

    Cauda Equina: Blargh.

Anesthesia: Not remembering the anesthesia is a sign you had a good anesthesiologist.

Bacon Cheeseburger, french fries and a milkshake? Now that sounds like a health meal to be eating after surgery. 🙂

Working in medical profession: Yup, I totally agree.

Surgery: Glad the surgery went so well for you

Skyrim: I realize you’re probably playing on a console, but I’d highly recommend playing Skyrim on a PC; the 3rd party mods add a lot to the game. Case in point, I’m currently 182 hours in my first game of Skyrim.

    Chicken wings: Meh.
