Episode 120 : Super High Octane

Very exciting episode! William is distracted by shiny objects! Heave discussion happens regarding corporations and their terrible, terrible powers. We save the world! And Tony says awful things that he really shouldn’t say. Again. Enjoy!

P.S. Is the sound quality kind of bad again? Do we need to make some adjustments? Let us know your thoughts.

I thought it was very sweet that Tony sat William down and told him where he came from.

  2. jas says:

Update on the Target boycott over donations to anti-gay rights group: I think the company did a 180 on that. It was publicized with Target apologizing and saying that those donations would cease in exchange for getting rights to Lady Gaga’s “Born this Way.” Target also promised to give $500,000 from corporate funds to pro-gay rights groups. It later gave $120,000 to a group fighting a state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage in Minnesota. And it gives benefits to same-sex partners of employees.

Interestingly, Target was later named in a list of companies to boycott by the American Family Association because of a wedding-gift registry ad that featured a male couple and because it was selling Pride T-shirts.

  3. Bloodsparrow says:

Yeah, I sat there for a while trying to decide whether or not Tony was serious about hosting the podcast at his house.

Then I decided, it didn’t matter really, because one was as bad as the other.

Living in Austin, TX I am familiar with both Host Gator and debates about when things become other things.

    • Bloodsparrow says:

No William you’ve not heard the shpiel 1,000 times, you’ve heard it a number of times that is less than or equil to 121. (Because of the lost episode… Yeah, that’s right, I include the lost episode in my calculations because I’m a Hard Hat and that’s how I roll.)

    • Bloodsparrow says:

Don’t worry Tony, I won’t tell the producer about the secret project.

      • Bloodsparrow says:

I apologize for writing “Producer” with a lowercase “P”. Because she is The Producer, the definitive article as it were.

      • The Producer says:

Goddammit, does this mean I have to actually listen to this episode?? Do you all have any idea how much daily listening to Tony is required just being his wife? We mostly have William over every week just so he has someone else to talk to.

    • Bloodsparrow says:

“Also doesn’t involve killing people” …

I thought when William said that homophobic people made great coffee, that he meant the coffee was made OUT OF homophobic people.

Which may not involve crushing them, but very probably involves roasting and grinding.

    • Bloodsparrow says:

I KNEW WILLIAM WAS GOING TO SAY “Save it from what?”

    • Bloodsparrow says:

I have not seen a Kmart since moving to Texas. Although I did just order some shoes from their website.

      • Bloodsparrow says:

Are you talking like the smell you get in a Harbor Freight?

The smell in Harbor Freight is SO strong, I can’t be in there for very long.

  4. jas says:

Oh, reminded of good smell/bad smell stores. Stores that sell smelly candles–the smell is so bad it gives me headaches. Hardware stores smell pretty good for the most part–except where they sell pesticides n stuff. When I was pregnant I could not stand getting close to the bread aisle in the supermarket or driving past the Wonderbread factory.

  5. SirGuido says:

I haven’t listened yet, I just dropped in to tell William that comments on my YouTube videos have been disabled for the foreseeable future thanks to 4Chan douchebaggery. If you need to comment, email me.

  6. Beth says:

I thought while the bread is in the toaster, it is like Schrodinger’s Cat in the box. It goes in as bread and is both toast and not toast while in the toaster. When it emerges from the toaster it is toast.

  7. Mark says:

The problem with listening to the podcast at home; is I tend to do it later in the evening when I’m tired. So when Tony & William started this episode, and were laughing about the hosting confusion; I just sat here with a puzzled look on my face trying to determine what was so funny. *sigh*

My belief in toast helps the podcast? Woo! I’ll never stop believin’!

Wait 50 listeners? Wow, that’s up a bit since the last I recall you mentioning your listening stats.

    *clap, clap*

    Squirrel!

Math is important, too bad Tony learned that lesson too late….

Super Sekret Video Project? Is like a $20 Films? Will you be bringing the old gang back together?

RPGS: There definitely have to conflict to be interesting and the more difficult the conflict, the more interesting it can be. Provided the players have the ability to overcome the conflict.

    Snapped in half? Awesome!

Defiance: Sounds like an interesting show; I guess maybe I should eventually get around to taking a look at it.

Future Stuff: Oddly enough, I also recently ran into a couple of old college friends and we’re going to be getting together to catch up. What a totally random coincidence.

Rick Astley: This story is making me wanting to set my ring-tone to that song.

X-Files Theme: Umm, you mean you guys didn’t hear that start up? It was just me? Weird.

Low Octane: I’m slightly surprised this wasn’t the episode’s title.

Crushing a person doesn’t guarantee their death; just their maiming.

Save the World: It’s where I keep all my stuff… that you know about….

    Signs?

Side note: I think I’d rather be infamous; much like the glorious Three Amigos!

Mind control is never funny… unless I’m the one in control. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Best Buy: Have you ever tried to use their price matching policy?
