Episode 78 : A Lazy Hedonist…

Doctor Will (see what I did there?) analyzes Tony.  Then we crap on TV. And a little bit on zombies. Okay, slightly more than a little bit on zombies. And emoticons. And something more, I think, but it’s all lost. No caffeine and no pop make Tony something something…

This is William’s film that we mentioned.

And here’s his film that Tony is in!

    My precious, my precious decibels!

No cake for life? Oh, the humanity!

BTW, I was really digging William’s villianious voice.

Caffeine free? *shudder* I’ve cut back on my caffeine intake on a doctor’s advice and it’s been hard. Though in my case, I’ve never been a big pop drinker so I’ve cut back on my coffee/tea consumption. Given that in an average summer I drink roughly a swimming pool’s worth of iced tea (unsweetened); cutting back on it has totally sucked.

New Doctor Who: I’ve not seen it yet. That is all.

The Gaimen episode was …. ok. Not great, not terrible.

Wait a minute? Fringe is still on the air? Jeepers, I gave up on that after the first season.

I don’t think Leverage was the show hitting Netflix (not Netflix streaming anyway) that way. Or at least if it was, then that was in the first season or two of Leverage. Currently it’s not even available for Netflix streaming.

Murdoch Mysteries? I’m pretty sure that’s currently available via Netflix streaming.

A month behind isn’t too awful for online viewing.

I’m with Tony; I love those shows. Even though I recognize they’re not very good, but they are so much fun. And actually, I’ve recently started to rewatch Warehouse13 (mostly because my wife hadn’t watched it before).

Alphas is bad? *sigh* I just started watching that and was hoping it would get better than it has been so far (3 episodes in).

As long as we’re talking so much about TV shows, have you checked out Revolution yet? The NBC put the premiere episode up on Hulu. I watched it the other night and well… I wish I hadn’t.

If you really are interested in emjoi, try checking out DeviantArt.com; they’ve got tons of those things (maybe even a category dedicated to people creating new ones).

    BRRAAIINNS! :3

William: You say zombie stories don’t impress you much, but have you read Feed? I’m not a big zombie fan either, but that book I found to be quite good.

  2. Dave of Id says:

Three of my favorite long shows are: Castle, Leverage, and Warehouse 13, and all because of the character chemistry. They all could benefit from an improvement in overall writing and editing. This was true with Chuck too.

Of all of the Dr. Who episodes I’ve since since the reboot of the series, the episode by Gaiman was my favorite. That being said, I haven’t watched many and have largely been disappointed with the new Who so far.

The last show I remember thinking was top-notch most of the way through for the duration was Homeland. I’ve been told that The Wire is good, but I don’t have time to invest in a new series so I’m avoiding it.

I’ve been mostly soda pop-free for several years now and I really don’t miss it now. Tired of paying money on empty calories and having to deal with the bottle return. I wonder if it’s a sugar-addiction thing as I have had problems giving up other sweet things even though fountain drinks were easier than I thought?

I’m sick of zombies and vampires. They can all go get undead-ed right now.

  3. Bloodsparrow says:

I think Tony is correct regarding giving up diet sodas and the level sweet (even diet sweet) in your body.

I drink unsweetened ice tea with lemon to replace caffeine when I’m not drinking soda.

    • Bloodsparrow says:

Tony may have an addictive personality, but Pho is just something people get obsessed with.

      • Bloodsparrow says:

William, you can buy Doctor Who on iTunes and XBox Marketplace. I’m not sure if the PS3 has a marketplace for video content or if they have content from BBC America. But you may want to check it out.

    • Bloodsparrow says:

I think that I have friends who I know primarily online and in ONE case, I unfriended and blocked a person (and he me) based on something I posed and his reaction to it.

And in that one case, it was a good thing.

      • Bloodsparrow says:

That was the first time (the unfriending thing on FB and Twitter) ever happened to me… for the most part, I’ve very careful about who I friend to minimize that sort of stuff.

      Re: Dresden Files

Is “All the kids love Snickers” one of that NPC’s aspects?

    • Bloodsparrow says:

On the subject of TypIng LiKe tHiS or whatever.

In my experience it’s an attempt to appear crazy, whimsical, wacky, or unbalanced.

      • Bloodsparrow says:

Here’s one for Tony, William might get this…

People who play Vampire: the Masquerade and would identify themselves online as Malkavians would type like that.

    • Bloodsparrow says:

      Zombie Tony:

I would shoot your legs out from under you and then go for your head from a little bit closer.

      • Bloodsparrow says:

Look, I was not a big fan of zombie stuff UNTIL I went on a Zombie Walk.

That was some of the most fun I’ve had in that part of Hollywood pretty much ever.
