Episode 58 : William can’t build a railroad..

William, once again, needs to be told that people are stupid. Because he’s William. Also, a lot of Star Trek. Oh, and did I mention that Ezzie tries to climb into the Hat. Multiple times. The universe might be ending.

Brent Spiner is awesome. He was also on Mama’s Family occasionally. He was a primary player on a great show called Treshold (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threshold_%28TV_series%29). …Which he starred in with Peter Dinklage.

  2. William says:

Tony didn’t explain why some folks in Iowa City may have to find a new dentist.

  3. The Producer says:

    William: “What’s wrong with her?”
Me:You have met Ezzie before, yes??

Baby, do NOT kill her before I get home.

Also, William, there is no paradox in Dr. Who because he is a Time LORD. It’s just beyond the comprehension of us mere mortals.

Maybe someday you should recreate all the little bits we’ve missed (due to “recording errors” and what not) and assemble them into a new mystery episode for the day when William chickens out due to a blizzard or some other nonsense.

I’m pretty sure Seacrest+Highlander jokes have been going on for a while now. Then again, I was pretty sure the Dick Clark was already dead and they were just propping up his body while playing records too, so what do I know anyway.

ST:V? Good grief, why? That show was awful. I’ve been watching DS9 via Netflix streaming and it’s ok. DS9 seems less repetitive than ST:TNG did, as the DS9‘s stories don’t all revolve around the holodeck and Q has only showed up once. I’ve never watched ST:TOS all the way through, mostly because I find it too cheesey to do so; but from the few episodes I have watched, Kirk is a much better character than what I would have expected (a lot more brains, then I’d expected the character to have).

Also, you forgot to link to Bret Spiner’s Fresh Hell.

Movies get made by people who have the money to make them. Sometimes the money people will make a movie because they want to see a particular story. More often the money people are bean counters who use focus groups and make movies for the lowest common denominator to appeal the widest possible audience to try to make the most money.

I wonder if it’s an islander than that causes people to come up with bad food ideas. I mean hot dogs stuffed into the crust of a pizza could be good (though I kind of doubt it) but the UK brought us haggis and Hawaii gave us spam musubi. It’s almost seems like islanders start throwing random crap together and calling it food, just in case they ever get cut off from the mainlands and will have to subsist on that sort of thing.

Tony: Seriously? William brings up wormholes and you mention several sci-fi shows, but you don’t mention Stargate? Dude you even played in a Stargate based RPG for cyrin’ out loud!

Time travel: Right, I’ve now spent about 20 minutes trying to get my ideas of time travel straightened out enough that I could write them down and explain them here. And I’m no closer to making my clarifying those ideas, so I’ve decided to scrap all that and just give a link to the clearest explaination I’ve ever seen of time.

You didn’t say there was breaking news on the podcast – I didn’t know Dick Clark had died. Might it be a sign of the impending apocalypse (i.e. we won’t make it to 2013, so Dick Clark has successfully counted down all New Years before the end of time)?

  6. Bloodsparrow says:

Doctor Who does have Time Police. There’s the CIA (Celestial Intervention Agency), The “Time Agency” and there’s also “The Shadow Proclamation”. None of which are very well explained or examined. (Although the Big Finish Audio Dramas has made liberal use of the CIA.)

So the thing was that before the CIA (which was really just a throw away joke line in one episode) and those other two it was the Time Lords who decided what the was and was not proper for the time line.

Humans take care of each other in general, that’s why we’re awesome.

  7. Mark says:

Also Pizza Hut (not in the US) has apparently already topped the hot dog stuffed crust pizza with Crown Crust Burger Pizza.

  8. Olivia Dunham says:

I have never seen this over here. It must be from the other universe.
