Okay, look Tony. There are a ton of follow-bots on Twitter. So you notice how the guy who tries to follow everybody who follows him is only following about half of the accounts who follow him…

I would venture to think that he’s not following the spam-follow-bots…

So, how’s about them apples in your pipe and smoke it?

  2. Bloodsparrow says:

I agree with William’s assessment of why he didn’t think John Carter would do well. That’s how I felt about it also. I also knew they wouldn’t be able to resist messing with it in the way that Hollywood producers can’t NOT mess with an established property. (See Peter Jackson’s interview where he talks about how the producers were insisting that one of the Hobbits had to die in LotR.)

  3. Bloodsparrow says:

    The Colony!

    Yes, that was Discovery.

I watched Season 1 but couldn’t get through Season 2. My friend Brett and I had gobs of fun watching Season 1 together.

During Season 1 the people who were on it were very active on Facebook.

I remember commenting to one poster that I immediately shave 90 points on the IQ of anybody who does not use capitalization or punctuation in online posts and it turned out to be the George, the hot Doctor. He was actually a very smart guy and the emotional linchpin of that group but damn, his FB posts made him look like a 12 year old moron.

Then I took Joey, the Contractor, to task for apparently not being able to use a *hammer*.

John C, the crazy of man who is also a Burner and works at IBM, was awesome and we were FB friends for a long time after the show was done, but he was more active on MySpace so he eventually fell off my radar.

    WTF is “the Black Angel”?

  5. Mark says:

For those of you who don’t recognize the source for the meme image above, it’s Juanita. Juanita is a creation of The Bloggess and if listeners of TMTH aren’t familiar with The Bloggess, then they should check out her blog and get reading ASAP! Also if helps convince you to go check her out; you can kind of think of The Bloggess as a female version Tony (e.g a completely insane person who also happens to be very amusing) who writes all the time rather than doing a weekly podcast.

My blog is like fiber? Does that make me the Metamucil of the blogging world?

William: I still rate all the books I read on my site (as well as over on GoodReads) but I haven’t written proper reviews of any in a while. In fact these days, mostly I’m just posting photos. Currently I’m doing one new photo a week; last year I was doing a photo a day (but that was too brutal to keep going on with).

The Hunger Games: In something of a stunning twist, I actually saw the movie the Friday it opened. I’ve heard the movie had an outstanding opening weekend, but when we went the theater was only “full-ish” rather than packed. I wrote my opinions about it over at my blog, but the TL;DR version would be: not as good as the books and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much shakey cam.

I’ve never had weird experience with the Black Angel.
