Episode 20 : Night of the Living Hat!

Yes, there’s something spooky about this week’s episode.  Vampires, werewolves, ghouls, zombies, spiders, and a Dark Tower.

Also, a fair amount of singing!  Yay!

The Vrykolakas is an undead creature from Greek/Eastern European that some believe started as a werewolf but could become a powerful vampire after being killed.

Haven’t one of you read The Walking Dead graphic novels? Zombies are attracted by sound & movement. So say you shoot a zombie in the head, given the lack of automobile traffic and masses of people doing their daily things, the sound from that gunshot is going to carry a long way. When one zombie hears the shot, it will turn and start moving towards it. Then another zombie will see it moving and follow it. Eventually you’ll have a herd of 100s or 1000s of zombies all heading in one direction. This is just one more reason why Tony’s boat idea is so good.

To make it better, I’d try to hook up with a US Navy ship and convince them to head for Hawaii. Once there, the plan would be to kill all the zombies on the islands; living on the ship, while doing so. After all the island zombies were dealt with we could move safely onto the islands and it would be about safe as safe can be after the zombie apocalypse happens. After all, Hawaii is in the middle of the ocean; so the odds of a zombie walking from California are nill (ocean water pressure will crush them before they get there) and the Navy ship could be used to patrol the islands to enforce a quarantine around the islands.

Side note: In regards to Tony’s singing, don’t give up your day job. Also the Cranberries rule!

Lastly I hope nothing important happened in this episode after the spider got on the microphone as I couldn’t possibly continue to listen with a spider being effectively in my ears. Eeeeew!

I think it’s not so much the actual blood per sae when you’re talking about vampires drinking the blood of people rather then animals. It was always my understanding that the blood was a carrier medium for the life force that the vampire needed to consume. I always figured it went back to the trope in various superstitions that consuming the flesh of something (or someone) gives you the “power” of what (or whom) ever you just consumed.

Double points for clever use of “Color Out of Space”.

My favorite color is “Bastard Amber”

    Please don’t ever sing again.

Yes, that question was definitely digested.

Bare Naked Ladies are Canadian in fact.

Also, I’m from the west and it was either “soda” or “cola”.

I can’t wait to hear from your friend from Luxemburg about syrup. (runs, ducks, hides)

You wanted my thoughts on Amy Winehouse’s death? I think I cared more about the spiders death.
